Metro Merge

The mission of Metro Merge is to join God’s restorative work in the city by co-investing with local residents through sustainable entrepreneurship. Our passion is to connect local residents and vocational neighbors (partners) into authentic relationships, resulting in sustainable business start-ups by partnering with entrepreneurs in historic South Atlanta.

Metro Merge is a new division (“program”) of FCS Urban Ministries, inviting a ground swell of authentic partnerships, honoring neighbors with dignity to realize one’s dream through entrepreneurship.

FCS Urban Ministries is an urban collective made up of multiple organizations all partnering together in urban Atlanta, GA. Each group brings a niche to the table through a comprehensive effort at the invitation of local residents. The Evangelical Good Samaritan Society (EGSS) is a charity organization based and officially registered under the Ministry of Social Affairs in Cairo, Egypt in 1992. Our vision is to proclaim the love of Christ in practical ways and present his sacrificial life so that we can be a source of care and support for needy children.Our mission is to restore the lives of orphans by sharing the message of the transforming power of Christ's love by word and action.

Currently, 40 people are working full time at the EGSS building which contains:
•An Orphanage that accommodate 70 children.
•A Day Care Center with the capacity to host 200 children.
•A Conference Center that accommodate 100 adults.
•A Meeting and conference Hall for 500 people.

Refugee Sewing Society

We are refugees who have escaped genocide. We fled from many countries -- Sudan, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi, Burma, Bhutan, and others. Our aim is to find healing through creative arts and crafts.Our dream is to build self-sustaining businesses that will allow us to work at home while caring for our children.Refugee women from war-torn nations gather each week at Clarkston Community Center in Atlanta, Georgia. While sewing, knitting, crocheting, beading and embroidering, we share joys and sorrows.Many of us have lost husbands, fathers, and children to war. We have endured great suffering. But we believe our lives have purpose and hope. Please help fulfill the aims of The Refugee Sewing Society by purchasing our handmade products.
